WE THE PEOPLE.

WE THE PEOPLE.

We the People: Reclaiming the Power of Our Vote

The first seven words of the United States Constitution — “We the People of the United States” — affirm a foundational truth: our government exists to serve its citizens. As a democratic republic, the true power of our political system resides with the people, exercised through the vote.

Yet, over time, many Americans have lost faith in that power. We hear it often: “My vote doesn’t matter,” or “They’ll do what they want anyway.” This growing disillusionment threatens the most vital freedom we hold — the freedom to vote.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can restore the power of the people by implementing term limits for Congress. This single reform can help return accountability, transparency, and balance to our government.

The U.S. Constitution already provides a system of checks and balances through three distinct branches of government:

    •    The Legislative Branch — Comprised of the House of Representatives and the Senate, it is responsible for creating the laws of the nation, among other duties.

    •    The Executive Branch — Led by the President, it enforces and administers the laws passed by Congress.

    •    The Judicial Branch — Represented by the Supreme Court, it interprets the Constitution and ensures that laws comply with its principles.

While the Constitution can be complex, one truth remains clear: the strength of our republic lies in We the People.

Our organization exists to help Americans reclaim that strength — by fighting for Congressional term limits and establishing enforceable standards of ethical conduct for those elected to serve us.

It’s time to believe in the power of the vote again — and use it to create lasting change.
